‘Manurawa’, the annual magazine of the Sri Lanka Law College, Law Students’ Human Rights Movement will be launched at the main hall of the Law College, Colombo on Wednesday, August 21, from 1p.m. to 5p.m. The Chief Guest will be the Public Trustee, President’s Counsel, W. G. Sanath Weeraratne.
Judges, senior lawyers, media personnel and law students among others have contributed articles to this year’s issue. Edited by Nirmasha Premadasa this 300-page (A-4 size) magazine is published in all three languages, Sinhala, Tamil and English.
Senior Attorney K. Narendra Kumar will evaluate the articles at the event. Among those scheduled to address the gathering are Law College Principal, President’s Counsel, Indira Samarasinghe and Law Students’ Human Rights Movement President, Chamika Guruge.
Parallel to this event the Human Rights forum website will also be inaugurated the same day. A discussion titled the ‘Right to Life’ will also be held from 3p.m. to 5p.m. to mark Human Rights Day.
