SLAF Hold Annual Islamic Religious Ceremony

The Annual Islamic Religious Ceremony of the SLAF was held at the Kollupitiya Jummah
Mosque this morning (7th August 2019). The Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air
Marshal Sumangala Dias graced the event as the Chief Guest.

The officiating Mowlavi invoked blessings and prayed to almighty Allah on behalf of the
souls of all the brave men and women of the Sri Lanka Air Force who made the supreme
sacrifice in defence of our motherland and the families left behind.

Further, blessings of almighty Allah were bestowed upon all ranks presently serving in the
Air Force, all establishments and the assets of the Air Force during this ceremony.
Among the guests in attendance was the Chief of Staff of SLAF, Air Vice Marshal
Sudarshana Pathirana, members of the Air Force Board of Management, Senior Officers and
a cross section of other ranks representing all Bases, Stations and all trades of the SLAF. The event was organized by SLAF Base Ratmalana.
