CTJ Gen. Sec. due to give evidence before PSC today

The General Secretary of Ceylon Thowheed Jama’ath (CTJ) Abdul Razik is due to give evidence today (20) before the Special Parliament Select Committee appointed to investigate the  Easter Sunday terror attacks.

Meanwhile, the Select Committee has decided to keep the identity of certain witnesses confidential, the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Ananda Kumarasiri said.

The committee will also record certain testimonies without the presence of the media persons, the Deputy Speaker said further.

This decision was taken at the meeting of the Select Committee convened yesterday (19).

In addition, the PSC would hereafter not announce the names of ranks of some servicemen to be summoned before it and the dates of they would be summoned for testifying would not be made public.

The PSC is meeting 2 pm today in the parliamentary complex and four persons from Towheed Jamath including Abdul Razik are scheduled to testify before the committee.
